Cairngorm National Park Entry Points

This project helped to establish the identity of the Cairngorm National Park by the design and placing of entry markers and associated work to make the entries clearer. Markers were placed at every junction of road, rail, cycleway and national trail crossing the park boundary. Markers included black ospreys (the park logo) on local silver-grey granite in a timeless and legible design. A process of de-cluttering of the landscape around the markers, removing or refurbishing existing laybys, highway signs, snowpoles, stock fencing and other features, helped present the markers as part of the rural landscape.
