About Jennifer Elliott

Passionate about making places better, Jenny is a Chartered Landscape Architect specialised in a combination of urban design, public space research, user experience, placemaking, graphic design, illustration and photography. Jenny is interested in innovative ways to create places that improve quality of life, health and well-being, are environmentally sustainable and distinctive. She has applied data-driven, co-design, and end-user research methodologies to inform design, decision-making and planning of the built environment for both public and private sector clients for over 10 years. She was Smart Places Lead at the Edinburgh Futures Institute (2019-2021) and former Co-founder and co-Director at Here+Now (2014-2019) - an Edinburgh-based landscape architecture and co-design firm. Currently, Jenny is working on a freelance basis alongside her University of Edinburgh PhD research about innovation in urban design, data, user experience and co-design for sustainable, healthy, future cities.
