About Michal Zarzecki
My passion is Nature and the environment. I explored this passion through my education in biology and plant systematics. I come from Silesia, which is a region in southern Poland mostly known for its rich industrial heritage. The experience of dramatically transformed landscape evoked my special interest in the post-industrial wastelands as a refuge for wildlife. The landscape-led reclamation of post-industrial sites influenced my choice of landscape architecture as a subsequent educational pathway and future occupation. In landscape, I love the wide perspective and a perfect marriage of environmental and social matters. I became a member in 2015, not long after arriving in the UK. In my work, professionally and informally, when engaging with local communities, I use my passion for the environment to influence more sustainable decisions. I am always happy to meet other people who cherish similar values.
