Peter Styles Dip Hort Kew; Dip LA; FLI; FRSA; TechM ArborA. Educated in Bristol, relocated to London to continue education and was awarded a Diploma in Botanical Horticulture from Kew in 1969. Graduated with a Diploma in Landscape Architecture from Thames Polytechnic. Initially appointed as a landscape architect for the GLC and a number of London Boroughs. Part time landscape architect at LUC London office. Appointed Principal landscape architect and team leader at London Borough of Wandsworth. In 1976 joined London landscape practice The Ecology and Landscape Design Partnership as an Associate. Relocated to Mid Wales in 1977. Became Partner in Lingard Styles Partnership and Brian Lingard and Partners Architects London and Wales. Company was incorporated in 2001 and appointed managing director. Currently trading as Lingard Farrow Styles ltd with offices in Shrewsbury and Welshpool. Part time senior lecturer in landscape design and art at Glyndwr University. Lecturer in landscape design and horticulture at Welsh College of Horticulture. External examiner in landscape design and construction at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. Visiting lecturer at the Barlett School of Architecture. President of the Kew Guild. Nominated by Landscape Institute for Award for significant contribution to landscape architecture in Wales in last 25 years. Past vice chair of Board Of Trustees Oriel Davies Gallery. Past vice chair of the LI Wales Chapter. Student mentor for schools and colleges in Wales as part of the Welsh Assembly Government 'Big Ideas' entrepreneurial programme.
