About Vanessa Ross
As a Chartered Landscape Architect, with around 20 years’ experience, Vanessa has a detailed and applied knowledge of landscape planning, assessment (LVIA/TVIA/EIA), landscape and public realm design and project management. In 2014 Vanessa founded Arc Landscape Design and Planning ltd. Arc are currently working with clients across a range of development sectors on numerous interesting and challenging projects ranging in scale and including several large scale multi-phased developments. Vanessa also acts as an Expert Witness and has addressed issues relating to Green Belt, AONB and sites with designated heritage assets. In addition, Vanessa lectures in professional practice at Kingston University. She is a supervisor and examiner for the Landscape Institute ‘Pathway to Chartership’ programme and in 2012 was appointed to the LI Education and Membership Committee. Vanessa is Chair of a Conservation Area Advisory Committee and in 2017 was selected to join the D:SE (Design South East) Expert Panel and has subsequently participated in numerous design reviews. In 2020 Vanessa became a Building with Nature, Approved Assessor. In 2021 Vanessa was appointed as a board director for Kingston First (BID).
